Delving deep into an old Hollywood scandal, private eye Joe Dancer (Robert Blake) uncovers a twisted plot whose seamy details could topple a star and ruin a studio. But someone is determined to stop him, and the hard-boiled detective is framed for murder. Harry Caesar, Gino Conforti and Sondra Blake co-star in this final Joe Dancer made-for-TV movie, one of three full-length pilots that Blake executive produced in an attempt to launch a series.
